ScrewAttack:

Launching in 2006, ScrewAttack started with the idea that the video game industry has gotten stale. On January 18, 2008, the show relaunched and changed its name to GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley.

We are aware that Gametrailers is not working for the latest versions of Mac and Windows. Also if you somehow managed to grab a linux test build its not working in that either. This is something we are trying to work out with the boxee devs as the GT videos are a simple rss feed like anything else. With the boxee meetup the devs haven’t had too much time to look into the issue but now that its over we are going to get it straightened out as soon as possible. Thank You

    In the currently released version, no. However in the next version (hope to get it out in a few days) yes. All screwattack content will be available.

    So I can browse the media fine, but if I ever try to play anything…. I get the standard boxee spinning loading “thing” and then the video never comes up, never even tries to play.

    @Corey you are the second to say that. But we have no issues on our end. Could you please email support@boxeehq.com with your boxee version, source for obtaining gt (app dir or direct dl from here), along with your debug log? We would be glad to look into it :)

    Sure thing, I’ll try to get that info for you in the next few days. I’m currently building a new PC w/ an i7 processor, so my boxee box is taking a little break while I get this new stuff put together/configured.

    @riegersn I’ll add that I’m having the same problem as Corey on my AppleTV. Only videos in the GameTrailersTV and Browse sections appear to be working - everything in ScrewAttack and Retrospectives gets the spinning logo and then right back to the same menu. Deleting and redownloading the app did not seem to help.

    I can also confirm this is not working as what was said above. Browsing works fine. But trying to view a video does nothing, just the Boxee loading circle and nothing else.

    Got the Windows Alpha version 0.9.9.5324 and I got the the GT plugin via app directory (dir.boxeehq.com).

    When this plugin was working it was one of my favorites. But I understand the time needed and that the team has other projects going at the same time. For me this plugin will be well worth the wait when it’s working again.

    I was wondering about this plug-in, It hasn’t been working for me for a while now. Is this because the problem has been resolved in the upcoming Alpha Release?

    Just to clarify that I’m running Windows Alpha v0.9.9.5324

    And I’m assuming that since I’m using the new Repository that any update to any of your plug-ins will automatically overwrite older installed plug-ins! This is more of an assumption on my part because I really don’t know how the repository idea deals with this issue?

    @Bugs: As the notice above states you must be running the latest Linux or Mac build of boxee for this to work. After much investigating the issue stems not from the GT application but from Boxee itself as this issue resolved itself with the latest Mac builds. There is nothing we can do on our end to change this. However the windows build should be available soon and will hopefully resolve any issues your having.

    gttv is working fine, but the newest videos in the browse is dated may 1st, and the newest video in screw attack is dated all the way to February.

    I’m using Apple TV and the video works fine, but I don’t want to watch any more older videos.

    I’m also having the May 1st issue. It seems whatever process keeps the boxeehq feeds updated from GT’s own feeds has broken down.
